Developed by Green Yachts, this conversion package is designed to modernize commercial harbor crafts without requiring the purchase of a new vessel.

With a rated capacity of 283-565 kWh, the system provides scalable energy storage using a Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery platform. This delivers reliable endurance for harbor service, port operations, and nearshore duties, while cutting noise, vibration, and tailpipe emissions.

The electric driveline is engineered for torque and responsiveness, making docking, maneuvering, and load handling simpler and safer. Charging flexibility is built in, with compatibility for shore power, advanced charging infrastructure, and zero-emission bunkering systems. These solutions keep vessels on schedule while reducing turnaround time, making the Twin Shaft kit an efficient retrofit option for working fleets.

Backed by the California CORE incentive program, operators can qualify for a base voucher of up to $900,000, with additional enhancements available. With CORE support, this conversion kit provides a cost-effective route to electrification while extending the life of proven hulls.

The Green Yachts Commercial Twin Shaft Electric Conversion Kit is listed as eligible equipment under California’s CORE program, designed to subsidize the adoption of zero-emission commercial harbor craft.

Base Voucher Amount: 

• $500,000 for the Twin Shaft conversion kit (283kWh)

• $900,000 for the Twin Shaft conversion kit (565kWh)

Additional Voucher Enhancements

• 10 % DAC (Disadvantaged/Low-Income Community) Enhancement — applicable if the vessel is deployed in a designated community.

• 15 % Small Business Enhancement — applicable when purchased or leased by a qualifying small business (annual revenue ≤ $15 million, California–based)
