The Artemis EF-12 Pilot is a full-electric, foiling pilot boat built for demanding pilotage operations. Designed with exceptional stability, visibility, and comfort, it meets the challenges of ship-to-pilot transfers and tight maneuvers with zero emissions and superior performance. 

Capable of achieving top speeds between 30-32 knots and a cruise speed of ~25 knots, the EF-12 Pilot delivers performance with efficiency. It offers foiling ranges of approximately 45-47 nautical miles depending on configuration, load, and sea state.

Every element of the EF-12 Pilot is engineered around pilot operator needs. Reinforced structure and fender systems protect against impacts during transfers. The wheelhouse is designed for superb all-round visibility, especially important when approaching large moving vessels. Fast charging enables rapid turnaround, reducing downtime between shifts. 

Charging is straightforward: the EF-12 Pilot supports ultra-fast recharge in less than 60 minutes and is built with simplicity in mind. Without the need for fuel or oil, ongoing maintenance is significantly reduced, helping operators save on operating costs while maintaining high availability.

The Artemis EF-12 Electric Piolet Boat is listed as eligible equipment under California’s CORE program, designed to subsidize the adoption of zero-emission commercial harbor craft.

Base Voucher Amount:

• $995,000 for the single propulsion 270kW power

• $995,000 for the dual propulsion 540kW power

Additional Voucher Enhancements

• 10 % DAC (Disadvantaged/Low-Income Community) Enhancement — applicable if the vessel is deployed in a designated community.

• 15 % Small Business Enhancement — applicable when purchased or leased by a qualifying small business (annual revenue ≤ $15 million, California–based)
